The invention relates to a method for producing a shoe (11) that can be adapted to the foot (6) of a wearer and that is made out of hard, thermoplastic synthetic material, and is worn for sports. A prefabricated shoe (11) is heated at least in sections and is adapted by applying pressure from the outside and by shaping the heated area. The shoe (11) is then cooled; a correction strip (15) that is made of a hard material and that is taken from the foot (6) is introduced in to the prefabricated shoe (11), and the heated shoe (11) is pressed onto the correction strips (15) by applying pressure.
