<p>A cross connect block for a telecommunications system, including a plurality of insulation displacement contact slots arranged in two rows along a first side of the block; another plurality of insulation displacement contact slots arranged in two rows along a second side of the block; and a plurality of contacts, each contact of said contacts including a first insulation displacement contact, arranged for engagement with an insulated conductor seated in one of said slots of the first side of the block, in electrical communication with a second insulation displacement contact, arranged for engagement with an insulated conductor seated in a corresponding one of said slots of the second side of the block, wherein contacts arranged in one of said rows of the first side of the block are electrically isolated from corresponding contacts arranged in another of said rows of the first side of the block.</p> |
