<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic photo creation device transferring a number of composited images within the upper limit of the amount of transferable image data while restraining deterioration in image quality caused by compression. <P>SOLUTION: In the automatic photo creation device, a composited image to be transmitted is selected by a user (S881) and is compressed with an initial compression ratio for storage (S882). Even if the total amount of data exceeds the upper limit (S884), the composited images are transmitted (S889) when the total amount of data reaches not more than the upper limit (S885-S888) by increasing the compression ratio of one selection image by 1 (S885). Even if the total amount with the initial compression ratio does not exceed the upper limit (S884), the compression ratio of one selection image is decreased by 1 (S890), thus returning the total amount to a value (S894) of immediately before the total amount exceeds the upper limit (S890-S893) for transmission (S889). A final, total amount of data reaches a proximity value not more than the upper limit, therefore, a number of composited images are transferred while restraining deterioration in image quality as much as possible within the upper limit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
