<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base oil excellent in stability and electric insulation property and having appropriate compatibility with a coolant when it is used with the carbon dioxide coolant and further indicating sufficient lubrication property even if the viscosity of the base oil is not increased, and a refrigerator oil. <P>SOLUTION: The base oil for refrigerator oil for carbon dioxide coolant and the refrigerator oil for carbon dioxide coolant are characterized in that they contain a first ester, i.e., a complete ester of a carboxylic acid in which a ratio of 14-22C branched type fatty acid is 40-100 mol% and a polyhydric alcohol, and a second ester, i.e., a complete ester of an aromatic polycarboxylic acid and an alcohol respectively. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
