<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a decrease in a throughput due to the shortage of a burst size in band monitoring. <P>SOLUTION: When a decrease in a throughput occurs, a burst size is changed to a proper value in accordance with a transmission band of packet flow and quantity of water of a bucket. When the quantity of the water of the bucket is a maximum burst size or more (time t5), a band monitoring part increases the maximum burst size. Since the maximum burst size can be changed in accordance with a fluctuation in the quantity of the water of the bucket in this way, continuous discard of packets involved in the occurrence of overflow can be suppressed, and an average band can be stably output to a monitoring band. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
