PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To relax the load applied to a pipette chip when the pipette chip is carried. SOLUTION: A pipette chip carrier has a chip pickup device 22 inserted from the opening 31a on the base end side of the pipette chip 31 and a negative pressure source 54 for applying negative pressure to the chip pickup device 22 in order to chuck the pipette chip 31. Specifically, the abutment part 22b abutted with the opening 31a on the base end side of the pipette chip 31 to prevent the insertion of predetermined quantity or above into the pipette chip 31 is preferably provided to the chip pickup device 22.
