PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce light leakage accompanying laser beam processing when performing correction of a luminescent spot defect pixel of a liquid crystal display by using a laser beam. SOLUTION: A liquid crystal panel 26 is irradiated directly or via a prescribed slit 45 with the laser radiated from a laser oscillator 46, and the laser is put into a defocusing state having a focus in front of a foreign substance 51 so as to continuously shoot the peripheral edge of the foreign substance 51.
