PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio communication apparatus and radio communication method, which improves calculation accuracy of a transmission propagation path coefficient by correcting an absolute value of the transmission propagation coefficient less frequently generated. SOLUTION: This radio communication apparatus 100 is provided with: reception propagation path coefficient calculating sections 120-1 to 120-n for calculating the reception propagation path coefficient of each of antennas; transmission propagation path coefficient calculating sections 130-1 to 130-n for calculating the transmission propagation path coefficient of each of the antennas by being externally inserted on the basis of variation of the reception propagation coefficient; absolute value calculating sections 140-1 to 140-n for calculating an absolute value of the transmission propagation path coefficient; a threshold calculating section 150 for calculating a threshold value on the basis of the reception propagation path coefficient; comparing sections 160-1 to 160-n for comparing the absolute value with the threshold value; and transmission propagation path coefficient correcting sections 170-11 to 170-1n for correcting the transmission propagation path coefficient so that the absolute value may match with the threshold value if the absolute value is larger than the threshold value.
