CARE RECEIVER MOVEMENT DETECTOR AND CARE RECEIVER MOVEMENT DETECTING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a care receiver movement detector and a care receiver movement detecting method, precisely detecting a movement with the risk of leaving a bed, tumbling and falling timely without giving discomfort to a care receiver, thereby preventing an accident such as a care receiver's carelessly tumbling and falling from a caring bed. SOLUTION: This detector includes an infrared sensor installed in a preset predetermined place for detecting an infrared ray output from the care receiver, a Fresnel lens fitted to the infrared sensor; a care receiver movement discriminating means for discriminating the movement of the care receiver by inputting an output signal of the infrared sensor and analyzing the input in the relationship with a preset threshold; and an informing means for giving information to the care receiver according to the discrimination of the care receiver movement discriminating means if necessary.
