PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a greening unit excellent in construction workability and the maintenance of the peripheral apparatuses on the house top and roof. SOLUTION: The greening unit U has a soilless planting base mat 1 to be installed on the surface of a greening object, a protection plate 2 having a plurality of through-holes is placed on the top of the soilless planting base 1, a base plate 3 is placed under the soilless planting base 1, and the protection plate 2 is connected to the base plate 3 interposing a definite distance by a spacer member 4.
