The internal combustion engine has a storage container, which is filled with sodium via an air tight closable opening. Solid, but soft sodium material is provided in small pieces and is filled in an oil bath. The sodium is compressed by screw conveyor and isolating valve and dosed to the combustion chamber in hermetically sealed manner. The supplied quantity of sodium is easily adjusted from full-load operation to complete interruption of combustion process at any time. A tank is filled with water, which is compressed via a spray nozzle into the combustion chamber and is uniformly distributed. Sodium and sprayed water are brought together in the combustion chamber via the screw conveyor. The mixture is heated above 115[deg] C by ignition source for a combustion process, which takes place spontaneously and leads to an enormous energy production. Sodium hydroxide emerges from sodium and water, and releases energy and hydrogen. The formation of sodium hydroxide is an energy delivering chemical process, and allows energy-rich residual hydrogen atom. The highly explosive gas hydrogen is mixed with oxygen, where 4 mole of hydrogen and 1 mole of oxygen are reacted and 2 mole of water is obtained with 572.4 kJ energy.
