<p>The steering column arrangement has two steering column elements which are moved from an opposite operating position into an accident position during an accidental powering of a steering column (14) at contact points (34,36). One of the contact points of both steering column elements is decreased in a partial area with a friction and simultaneously a defined friction force of an adjusted covering (40) is provided.</p>
