摘要 <p>It is intended to not only control a peak value of initial load of self-destruction occurring during the period until transition to stable sequential destruction mode but also ensure a desirable energy absorption amount. There is disclosed a shock absorbing member (3) of reinforcing fiber and resin having multiple fiber-reinforced resin layers, adapted to, upon receiving a shock, absorb the shock by self-destruction, wherein the reinforcing fiber of at least one fiber-reinforced resin layer (5) disposed at a distal end area (3a) extends in the direction within 90°±45° with reference to the direction of an energy absorption axis and wherein the reinforcing fiber (7) of shock absorbing member main body area (3b) other than the above distal end area (3a) within the same fiber-reinforced resin layer extends in the direction within 0°±45° with reference to the direction of the energy absorption axis.</p>
