A cosmetic composition comprising Prunella vulgaris extract and adenosine is provided to promote the breeding of skin cell, the collagen synthesis of fibroblast and the synthesis of DNA and protein at a dermal layer. A cosmetic composition comprises Prunella vulgaris extract and adenosine as an active ingredient. The cosmetic composition contains Prunella vulgaris extract of 0.001-20.0 weight% and adenosine of 0.001-5.0 weight% based on the total weight of the composition. The Prunella vulgaris extract is extracted hydrothermally. The hot water extraction is performed by adding polar solvent selected from water, C1-4 lower alcohol or their mixed solvent.
