In generating a system header included in an extended program stream of MPEG-2 systems,when the basic stream ID is an extended ID and basic buffer size information indicateszero byte, extended buffer size information is generated and recorded. The extendedbuffer size information is required for reproducing elementary streams multiplexedwith use of the pair of the extended ID and an extended stream ID, and is expressedby total 24 bits including the extended ID, maker bit, and the extended streamID and total 24 bits including the extended ID, the maker bit, extended bufferbound scale information, and extended buffer size bound information. |
