[Class 132 (ii)] A tubular metal handle for a tennis or other racket fits into a socket in the frame and is prevented from rotation therein by one or more ribs or keys and is secured to the frame by at least one transverse fastening. As shown in Fig. 1, the tubular metal handle a is formed with a taper having a number of longitudinal ribs b to prevent rotation in the frame c. One or more rivets, pegs or serews f secure the handle to the frame. In a modification, Fig. 4, the key g is formed by a flattened portion at the end of the taper. In a further modification, Fig. 6, the taper e merges into a wedge-like form terminating in a flattened portion i. The handle a may be circular, elliptical or polygonal in cross section and may be parallel, stepped or tapered along its length.
