Method for manufacturing a friction lining

The manufacturing process for a friction lining involves applying elastomer-based latex to a friction paper, and then bonding the fibers of the friction paper to each other as the elastomer evaporates from the latex. A non-tenside (i.e. non-surfactant) protective colloid is added to the latex before it is applied to the friction paper.
