A touch button apparatus for measuring weight and a portable communication terminal having the same are provided to perform a switching function or a weight measurement function selectively at a functional buttons by a mode selection signal. A touch button device for weight measurement includes a detection unit(310), a main controller(330), a sub controller(340) and a mode selection unit(320). The detection unit detects capacitance value which varies according to constant pressure applied from the outside, and the main controller converts the capacitance value into a weight value. The mode selection unit outputs a mode selection signal which selectively connects the detection unit to either the main controller or the sub controller.
