SERVER BASE COMPUTING SYSTEM FOR INCLUDING DOCKING STATION USING PORTABLE TERMINAL AND METHOD THEREOF

A server-based computing system including a docking station using a portable terminal and an operation method thereof are provided to connect an expanded thin client terminal which consists of the docking station to a server, thereby transceiving data with the server. A portable terminal(110) includes an OS(Operating System) for a PC and is connected with a server(200) and an authentication server(300) through a wireless network. A docking station(120) is connected to the portable terminal by comprising one or more external connectors to communicate with the server and authentication server. The authentication server permits the portable terminal or the docking station including the portable terminal to connect to the server through a wired and wireless network. The server allows the data transmission/reception of the authenticated portable terminal or docking station.
