A liquid crystal display apparatus is provided to realize the high brightness uniformity by diffusing the light generated from a light source through a light guide member, and the diffusing the light through light guide panels. A liquid crystal panel(100) has the plate shape and controls the intensity of passing light according to each pixel to display an image. The first light guide panel(200) diffuses the incident light to emit it toward the liquid crystal panel. The second light guide panel(300) diffuses the incident light from the light source to emit it toward the liquid crystal panel. A light guide member(400) emits the incident light from the light source toward the first and second light guide panel.
