A variable displacement pump for a power steering is provided to change the location of a cam ring according to car speed by additionally mounting a gear and a motor structure in the structure moving the cam ring of a pump. A variable displacement pump for a power steering comprises; a gear(42) formed with one side circumference part of a cam ring(40); a mounting space formed in one side of a housing(20) corresponding to the outer circumference of the cam ring; and an actuating unit(60) installed at THE mounting space. According to the velocity of the car, the actuating unit rotates the cam ring. The actuating unit comprises: a motor(62) operating with the signal sent as the electronic control unit; and a gear(64) which rotates the cam ring with engaging with the cam ring.
