A system for radio frequency identification capable of controlling protection level, and a method for protecting information using the system are provided to transceive an encoded signal by using an encode key shared between an RFID reader and an RFID tag. A random code request unit(201) generates a random code request message, and transmits the generated request message to an RFID(Radio Frequency IDentification) tag. By corresponding to the random code request message, a random code receiver(202) receives an encoded random code from the RFID tag. A decoding unit(203) decodes the received encoded random code by using a security key. In addition, the decoding unit transmits the decoded random code to the RFID tag.
