The container (1) has a wall (3) surrounding liquid (2) e.g. gasoline, in sides. The wall includes an inner layer (8), an outer layer (6) and a middle layer (7), where the layers are integrated with each other and made of same material. The materials of the layers have different degrees of expansion such that the layers have different thicknesses, where the middle layer has smaller thickness than the other layers. The wall is made of thermoplastic such as polypropylene, polyethylene and polyphenyl sulfide. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a thermally insulated container.
