The device has a connector (14) including a support element (16) cooperated with a locking unit (22) by an indexing mechanism. The locking unit is associated to a connector (20) of a direct current power source (11) housed in an insulating case (13), and has a pivoting lever stressed by a spring (26) e.g. torsion spring. The case has a housing (27) to enclose the connector (20) and the locking unit. The housing has a translational guiding unit for aligning the connectors in an engagement direction. The connector (14) has female contacts overmolded by an insulating cover (15).
