Method for controlling a back regulating strategy of a hydrodynamic brake

The method involves determining maximum temperature (M-2) of a coolant during a brake application. The determined maximum temperature is compared with a preset reference maximum temperature (M-soll). A dynamic portion of back regulation is changed around a value calculated based on a function of deviation. A strong limitation of a brake power is determined from the preset reference maximum temperature by the deviation of the maximum temperature. A steady state temperature of the coolant is determined and is compared with a preset reference steady state temperature (B-soll).
