A pillow lifting device comprises an elevating frame 1 and a base frame 2 arranged such that a gap exists between the two frames when the device is folded flat. The elevating frame 1 can be wider or narrower than the base frame 2, or it can be laterally offset relative to the base frame. The elevating frame 1 can be power operated via an actuator 5 and cam mechanism 9 that provides lift to the elevating frame when the elevating frame is in its lower positions. The gap 14 between the frames prevents limbs or body parts becoming trapped. |
