SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR HOLDING DEVICE MANAGEMENT(DM) SESSION

A System and a method for holding a DM(Device Management) session is provided to transmit a message for holding a DM session to a DM client through a DM sever. When a management operation to be performed exits in a device, a DM sever transfers a package#0 notification message to a DM client to open the establishment of a DM session(201). The DM client requests the establishment of the DM by transmitting the package#1 message to the DM sever(203). The DM sever transmits a package#2 message for setting up a DM session to the DM client, and the DM client transmits a package#3 message to the DM sever by responding to the package#2 message(205). The DM sever transfers the management operation to the DM client through a package#4 message(207). If there is a need that the DM session should be held, the DM sever transfers a message, which includes a session hold element, to the DM client(209).
