[Class 131] The skin-engaging member of a dry shaver has two spaced shearing edges formed by transverse slots separated by a longitudinal slot 22, each series comprising slots 14 which are open at each end and alternating slots 15 which are closed at the outer end, the slots of one series being staggered in relation to the similar slots in the other series. The slots 14 extend through the flange 13 and into the supporting member 12 in the form of a V-shaped channel, while the slots 15 extend only partly through the flange 13, ending in a bevelled overhanging wall 23. The reciprocating cutter 16 has an additional set of shearing edges 20 at right angles to the shearing edges co-operating with the slots in the flanges. |
