ISHIGE OKAMURAE EXTRACT HAVING ANTI-INFLAMMATORY EFFECT

An Ishige okamurae extract having anti-inflammatory effects is provided to inhibit transcriptional activity of the NF-kappaB(nuclear factor kappa B) in an RAW 246.7 cell and suppress generation of TNF-alpha(tumor necrosis factor alpha), IL-1beta(interleukin 1beta), IL-6 and PGE2(prostaglandin E2). An Ishige okamurae extract comprises 1-1000mg/mL of Ishige okamurae extracts as an active ingredients. The Ishige okamurae extracts is obtained by marine algae having anti-inflammatory effects in screened macrophage from marine supply source. The Ishige okamurae extracts does not show cytotoxin against macrophage. The Ishige okamurae extracts is extracted by ethanol. A unit active ingredient from the Ishige okamurae lowers transcriptional activity of NF-kappaB.
