摘要 A transflective type liquid crystal display device is provided to minimize a phase difference in a transmitting unit and a reflecting unit by using a compensating plate selectively transmitted only in the reflecting unit, thereby improving display quality, a contrast ratio and a transmitting rate. A liquid crystal panel(102) comprises an array substrate, a color filter substrate(170) and a liquid crystal layer(190) interposed between the array substrate and the color filter substrate. The array substrate has a reflecting plate(153) about the reflecting unit of the pixel region. A compensating plate(180) comprises a plurality of barrier patterns(182) and a plurality of phase compensation patterns(184). The barrier patterns are formed on a color filter of a liquid crystal panel and separated each other. The phase compensation patterns are separated in a place opposite to the barrier pattern. The barrier pattern is made of a material blocking light. The barrier pattern is overlapped with the transmitting unit. A phase compensation pattern is overlapped in the reflecting unit. The barrier pattern is made of a lenticular lens changing a path of passed light. The reflecting plate is uneven.
