<p>An apparatus for assigning the bandwidth of a MOST synchronous channel and a method thereof are provided to enable various services to communally use the band assigned as one slot, by applying the subdivided bandwidth allocation method. A method for assigning the bandwidth of a MOST(Media Oriented Systems Transport) synchronous channel comprises the following steps of: requesting the bandwidth allocation of a corresponding node(S401); generating the bandwidth management table of the corresponding node(S402); transmitting information about the generated bandwidth management table to each node in the form of a message(S403); updating each node and a master by using the transmitted bandwidth management table(S404); and transmitting/receiving data between nodes correspondingly to the updated bandwidth management table(S405).</p> |
