An opening and shutting cork for the coolant tank of chiller is provided, in which the overload occurrence of the pump of the chiller and temperature controller according to the excessive inner pressure increase is prevented. An opening and shutting cork for the coolant tank of chiller is detachably combined with the coolant tank of the chiller. The opening and shutting cork for the coolant tank comprises: a through-hole(14) communicating with the coolant tank; a storage area(12) which communicates with the through-hole, receives movable element(30), and serves the space in which the movable element can move up and down; a by-pass(13) which is extended to the outside of the surface of the body from the side of the storage area; a plug(20) opening and closing the top of the storage area.
