A dual tuner and a method for receiving the same channel are provided to prevent interference of the same oscillation frequency. The first tuner unit(22) converts and outputs a high frequency signal distributed from a distributor(21) into an intermediate frequency corresponding to a selected channel signal. The second tuner unit(23) converts and outputs a high frequency signal distributed from the distributor into an intermediate frequency corresponding to a selected channel signal. A controller(30) outputs a channel selection signal to each of the first and second tuner units. The first and second demodulation units(24,25) digitally demodulate each intermediate frequency outputted from the first and second tuner units and output the demodulated intermediate frequency as transport stream data.
