A white organic light emitting device is provided to improve the luminous efficiency by suppressing the energy transfer while allowing the diffusion of the triplet to the phosphorescence light emitting layer from the fluorescence layer. The first phosphorescence light emitting layer(151) comprises the host material and the dopant. A blue fluorescence light emitting layer(153) is formed on the first phosphorescence light emitting layer and comprises the host material and the dopant. The second phosphorescence light emitting layer(155) is formed on the blue fluorescence light emitting layer. The triplet energy of the host of the blue fluorescence light emitting layer is higher than the triplet energy of the dopant of the first phosphorescence light emitting layer and the second phosphorescence light emitting layer.
