A silencer of internal combustion engine has a device for smoothing pressure pulses of movable gas medium in channel due to connection of the last one to compensation chamber arranged for instance as cylinder installed at given angle to channel and equipped with piston that is rigidly connected to drive. The compensation chamber is placed in direct vicinity, minimal possible, from engine cylinder as noise source. A drive of piston of the compensation chamber is engine shaft. A control block of piston of the compensation chamber is arranged as cam fitted on the shaft that is kinematically connected to the engine shaft that interacts with roller of piston driver of the compensation chamber. Form of the cam corresponds to change of flow rate of working medium being silenced in such way that total flow rate of working medium, for instance exhaust gases or intake air, and medium of compensator is constant. The silencer makes it impossible to form rarefaction-compression waves of noise source, and it is effective at any frequency of rotation of crankshaft since pistons of compressor of compensator are rigidly connected to pistons of the engine. |
