FIELD: metallurgy. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for manufacturing of sandwich steel articles with pattern on its surface, representative for damask steel, for example, while manufacturing blanks for knives, blades and other cutting and piercing instruments, knives itselves and blades, and also personal protective gears-shields, bullet-proof vests and others. It is received sandwich, including, at least, two plates made of steels with different etching. At least, one of plates is implemented of damask type steel, and other - from usual steel. After plates boxing it is implemented annealing for removal of strains and hot deformation of plates pack by forging and/or rolling in two stages with following annealing. It is created deformation of all or some layers of blank and it is treated with pattern identification on grinding finish, representative for damask steel. According to the second option of invention it is received plates packet from damask steel. Following fabrication method is equal to the first option. ^ EFFECT: receiving of strongly marked patterns with saving of high mechanical properties of metal work all volume, and also superhardness and resistance against product cutting edge dulling, in aggregate with high flexibility of particular product's piece. ^ 15 cl, 6 ex |
