RECORDING METHOD

A recording method is provided to improve user convenience by allowing the user to manage desired playlist or reproduction range selectively. In a method for recording video/audio stream and management information for managing the video/audio stream, the recording unit is a fixed number of recording packets. The lead and last recording units of the video/audio stream are recorded below the fixed recording packet number, while the rest is recorded at the fixed recording packet number. The number of the recording packets of the lead and last recording units is recorded as the management information. The management information also includes original program information comprised in pair with the video/audio stream.
