FIELD: furniture production. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention is related to furniture production and may be used in production of transformable furniture items such as sofa bed. Invention has rotary mechanism that provides for smooth automatic rotation of back. Rotary mechanism is rigidly connected to back by means of lever system, and comprises gas lifts and unloading springs, which provide for smooth lifting and lowering of back. Back lifting is done whenever external pedal installed on front panel of transformable furniture is pressed. ^ EFFECT: invention is aimed at provision of comfort in transformation of sofa bed from position "sofa" to "bed" and back. ^ 4 dwg
