A circuit and a method for controlling main amplifier semiconductor memory apparatus is provided to increase the reliability of a circuit by performing precharging stably. A precharging control signal generating unit(130) outputs a precharge control signal(PCCTRL) in response to the state of a main AMP enable signal(YMAE) and a column select signal. A latch unit(400) outputs a latch signal(lat) in response to a column select signal, a main amp enable signal and the state of a reset signal. A precharge signal generator(500) outputs the precharge signal in response to the precharge control signal and the latch signal. |
