The prosthesis has elastically deformable compression intermediate cushion (20) housed between flat inner surfaces of respective rigid upper and lower plates. The cushion possesses a shape of a wedge provided with a front notch and a rear notch (24), where the notches are opened at respective wide and narrow sides of the wedge. The notches have bases (23a, 24a) that are separated at a distance (D) from one another, and are situated at a half portion (25) of a narrow side of the prosthesis.
