METHOD FOR CONTROLLING AIR-BAG BY USING TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM

An airbag control method using TPMS is provided to improve the reliability of the air bag operation since the air bag operation is determined finally through the sensing result of the shaping sensor. An airbag control method using the TPMS(Tire Pressure Monitoring System) comprises a step(S410) determines whether the pressure of the front tire is higher than the pressure of the rear tire or not by using TPMS; a step(S420) lowering the general collision critical value in case that the pressure of the forward tire is higher than the pressure of the rear tire; a step(S440) which determines whether the measured acceleration value is bigger than the lowered collision critical value or not; a step(S450) developing the airbag in case that the measured acceleration value is over the lowered collision critical value; a step for determining the air bag operation finally through the sensed result of the shaping sensor.
