PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve visibility of a vehicular meter unit for displaying a plurality of characters while changing over them on a display frame by suppressing a wobble of a center of an outline after-image of each of the characters continuously changed over and displayed. SOLUTION: In a digital meter 504D, a relative position of an outline center point CO of each character to be displayed within the display frame 504W with respect to a reference position WO in the frame 504W is individually controlled so that the wobble of the center occurring on the outline after-image of the character when the plurality of characters are successively changed over and displayed in the predetermined order of appearance.
