PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carton containing sanitary tissue therein in which a seal opening operation at its taking-out port can be easily carried out. SOLUTION: This carton 1 with sanitary tissue comprises a carton main body 16 of a box-like hexahedron shape with the inner space capable of storing sanitary tissue and formed with a taking-out port forming slit 14 to form a fine elongated taking-out port, a plurality of sanitary tissues stored in the carton main body 16, wherein an area A inside the taking-out port forming slit 14 has a symmetrical shape with its long axis L1 extending along its longitudinal direction and a short axis L2 crossing at a right angle with the long axis L1 as the boundary. The area A has reinforcing ribs 17 starting from a point P1 on the taking-out port forming slit 14, passing through the central region of the area A and ending with a point P2 on the taking-out port forming slit 14, and the reinforcing ribs 17 are formed such that they are present in the regions A1, A2 where the points P1 and P2 may form an opposite angle when the area A is divided into four segments by the long axis L1 and the short axis L2.
