The top has a convertible top layer and convertible top linkage provided with convertible top linkage parts (8, 9). An illumination unit (11) is provided for indirect illumination of a passenger compartment of a cabriolet vehicle. A clamping profile is provided for fastening the illumination unit at the convertible top linkage part (8). The illumination unit is fixed along a longitudinal extension at the convertible top linkage part (8). The illumination unit is partly attached to the clamping profile.
