USE OF TRUNCATED PPAR-ALPHA INHIBITORS IN THE TREATMENT OF HEART FAILURE IN PATIENTS WITH HYPERTENSIVE CARDIOPATHY

摘要

The truncated isoform of the peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor alpha (PPAR) induces apoptosis in cardiomyocytes. Inhibitors of said truncated PPAR can suppress the action thereof and, as such, can be used in the preparation of a pharmaceutical composition for the treatment of heart failure in patients with hypertensive cardiopathy. The truncated PPAR action can be inhibited at different levels (e.g. transcriptional, post-transcriptional, translational or post-translational).
