<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery excellent in low-temperature characteristics, long-term stability, cycle characteristics, or the like. <P>SOLUTION: In the nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery with an electrode assembly consisting of a negative electrode and a positive electrode capable of absorbing/discharging lithium through a separator and nonaqeuous electrolyte solution housed in a vessel, the nonaqueous electrolyte solution is made by dissolving lithium salt into a nonaqueous solvent of which a total quantity of carbonate selected from a group consisting of a cyclic carbonate and a chain carbonate and a halide of a cyclic carbonate occupies 70% by weight or more, and also, a part in contact with the nonaqueous electrolyte solution among a positive electrode collector and parts electrically connected with the same is structured of a valve metal or its alloy. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
