<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable decoding of a video image having changing luminance in time, such as a fading image or dissolving image so as to correspond to highly efficient encoding. <P>SOLUTION: A variable length decoder 303 decodes coded data 300 including index information 415 indicating a combination between a predictive error signal indicating an error of a predictive image signal for a video image signal having a luminance signal and two color difference signals, motion vector information 414, at least one reference image number and a predictive parameter prepared in advance per luminance signal and two color difference signals; a frame memory/predictive image creator 308 generates a predictive image signal 412 in conformity to a reference image signal and a predictive parameter included in a combination indicated by the decoded index information, and a reproduced video image signal is generated by using the predictive error signal and the predictive image signal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
