PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical image processing apparatus capable of easily setting split positions when a plurality of slice images are divided into a plurality of areas and separated and displayed. SOLUTION: The apparatus has an image importing part for importing a plurality of slice images obtained by imaging a subject and scanned images showing an imaging area of the subject, a guide image forming part for displaying guide images of which a target image is overlapped to a scanned image on a display part in order to divide and separate the image data cluster composed of a plurality of slice images in each predetermined area, and for designing the split position with the target image, and a separation processing part for checking the scanned image and the target image, dividing the image data cluster in a plurality of areas with a position designated by the target image with a boundary, and separating at every plurality of areas and displaying slice images on the display part.
