PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suspension device for a railcar capable of properly restraining abnormal oscillation when a deck generates the abnormal oscillation. SOLUTION: When a controller 10 receives an input of an abnormal oscillation signal, the controller 10 increases a damping coefficient of a hydraulic damper 8. Therefore, even when abnormal oscillation of the railcar 2 occurs during a point operation, curved road traveling or the like, the controller receives the input of the abnormal oscillation signal and suppresses abnormal oscillation to obtain preferable traveling stability and safety. Besides, when a yaw damper is broken, damage to the yaw damper is detected to suppress abnormal oscillation caused by various causes without being restricted by damage to the yaw damper compared to the conventional technique in which the damping coefficient of the other dampers is set to be larger.
