PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an indoor lighting system for a vehicle to be installed on a ceiling member of the vehicle for use, and an indoor lighting structure for a vehicle where the indoor lighting system for a vehicle is installed onto the ceiling member. SOLUTION: The indoor lighting system 1 for a vehicle is provided with: a transparent member 5 disposed with a width direction end part abutted on the ceiling member 3 of the vehicle; a light shielding member 7 integrally fixed with the transparent member, and having a light shielding part on the bottom side of the cabin surface side; a light emitting diode substrate 11 supported by a support part 12 erected on an inner surface of the light shielding part; and a cover member 8 disposed on a circumferential edge of its upper surface. A light emitting diode 6 is light-shielded sideways by a side wall of the cover member. The indoor lighting structure for a vehicle is provided with the ceiling member 3 of the vehicle, and the indoor lighting system for a vehicle installed on the ceiling member.
